Which name is the most fun to say?

Which pro rider’s name is the most fun to say? For me, it’s a toss up between Nienke Vinke and Tim Torn Teutenberg.

MrsTallRider and I always enjoy Nienke Vinke, but we just hadn’t been as aware of Tim Tom Teutenberg. Both are excellent to say.
I have nothing more to add here.

Edit: on second thought, my then-2-year-old saying “Cheese BaNoon” brought me even more joy.

Current riders: Taco van der Hoorn. Now retired and I believe DS somewhere: Patxi Vila (Patchy Vila). Honorable mention: Tiesj Benoot

I liked Tim Torn Teutenberg (‘s name) better when I still thought it was Tom instead of Torn. Rolled better off the tongue.

I’d also offer Finn Fisher-Black, I like the double F. And any name where you’re like “oh, that’s how it’s pronounced”, e.g. Niamh Fisher-Black.

The Tashkent Terror must take this?

Djamolodijn Abdoujaparov

Unbeatable (especially since he used to sprint like a crab i.e. sideways). Apologies if I’ve misspelled his name

There’s also Laurenz Rex’s brother Tim, who I’m very disappointed to never have heard him called T-Rex.

My favorite these days is Osoa Ostolaza. You just have to form an O with your mouth and it comes out in a fun way :open_mouth::grinning_face:

It’s Tiesj Benoot and it’s not particularly close for me. I find myself muttering in various intonations like Will Ferrell in Elf with the name “Francisco”

I’ll ad Liam Slock, there are others I always find funny but I just can’t remember at this time.

I thought it was TOM as well until I checked the spelling to make this post!

This, as recorded, was my daughter’s first words, during the ‘96 TdF.

Current fave is Mick Van Dyke. (Sorry Tim).

Valentin Paret-Peintre has a lovely mouthfeel to it. Also quite taken by Benoît Cosnefroy, Gleb Syritsa (to the tune of Rock the Casbah), Mathieu Burgaudeau (to the tune of Uptown Funk), and most of the others mentioned here.

The running joke in my household is that “tiesj benoot” is Flemish for “just a little.”. “Would you like some ice cream?” “Oh, tiesj benoot.”

The correct answers are obviously Anthony P, Allan Philippe, or Elisa Lamborghini

I’d have to say Cian Uijtdebroeks, Santiago Buitrago and of late, Afonso Eulalio. Also, honorable mention to the retired Thibaut Pinot.
