The tech the OG ATOM was built with is similar to Elite trainers that use a stepper motor. This caused a ton of issues with responsiveness, especially in ERG mode. iirc there were some issues with fast changing SIM gradients too. I covered this in my review of that unit which subsequently had me tossed off their media review list for their newer generation units…. which apparently addressed the issues I’d observed. I’d keep well clear of the first gen units.

I’ve had a Kickr Bike V1 for three years and I love every part of it. The fact that it’s almost entirely adjustable means you have an easy way to test your fit changes.
