Clik valve system conversion

I had to remove the internal plunger bit from my presta-schraeder adapter because they were getting in the way of the click valve.

So another trick I learned converting my original fumpa gauge to work with a Clik valve was to set it up for shrader. I then tried this on some pumps and it works. Having that plastic post swapped over allows for the pin to be pushed in and easier flow with accurate gauge readings. Not sure if that was discussed before.

Anyone have a solution to avoid using the hose with the adaptor? Trying to avoid buying a new pump and like the auto-cutoff vs having to use a separate gauge.

@Greg_Lepore recommended this Panaride brand e-pump a while back in this thread and it looks to be a rebranded Cycplus AS2 Pro at a quarter of the price (25USD currently). https://amzn.to/4vDkNM9

The Clik adapter threads on directly and I’ve been using it for the past month with no issues. It doesn’t come with a case so I designed and printed a TPU bumper cage for it. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I’m not certain the gauge is accurate but the pressure reading seems to be consistent across several pumps I’ve tried.

Clik will be releasing the presta pump adapters that I showed off recently, ā€œreal soonā€ - hopefully in July. Then you will be able to fit the click adapter directly into whichever type of presta pump fitting you have.

I use the thread in click adapter. It threads into either the body or the hose of my Trek inflator. Does that not work for you?

Are you using a dedicated Clik hose?

I’m using the scrader hose that came with the pump. The click adapter threads into that but not the pump.

Wondering if anyone - and acknowledging I’ve asked this before but hoping that things might have evolved - has worked out or found a low profile 90deg ā€œcrack pipeā€ solution for the limited aperture of a disc wheel? I have obviously got track pumps, a Cycplus electric, a Muc Off electric, etc… but not been able to make anything work as yet.

How low profile?
There are a few 90° fittings shown in the posts above within this thread. :man_shrugging:

Mine has been in use for 8 months, dropped a couple times, and remains flawless. Its a crazy deal at 25 bucks. I’m running mine the same way with the clik threaded on.

Does yours leak a tiny bit of air when you have it on the valve? I have a similar one and it definitely leaks a bit but I am using the Schwalbe plastic chuck not the clik one. It’s no big deal because the pump overcomes the leak but was just curious.

I had a leaky plastic Schwalbe adapter too, with a hand pump so it was more of a problem. I wrote them and they swore they had never seen a similar issue (how many times have I heard that ) and sent me a new one, for which I had to pay postage on delivery. I’ve switched to SKS and Lezyne versions. Unfortunately we can’t get the alloy Clik valves in Germany due to their agreement with Schwalbe.

I have good news for you. You can buy the alloy adapter in Germany form R2 but it is soled as a Wolf Tooth product. The alloy adapter is pretty expensive compared to the plastic ones, but I think the quality is wort it.

I use Fumpa adapters. They sell an excellent 90 degree Clik adapter that works with my Cycplus pump and disc wheel. The normal Schwalbe 90 degree works on my track pump. I had to get a shorter tubeless valve, but everything works.

Seconded. Fumpa make great stuff.

Relative to everything else on a bike, and the bike itself, these cost next to nothing. The design and function is excellent, which cannot be said for a lot of stuff. Totally worth it.

Update on my experience with Clik on my road bike. So far so good, no issues and I really enjoy quicker air ups either before a ride or during one. I use a Silca floor pump and a Cycplus AS2 ultra mini with a Fumpa Clik valve. I need new tires so I got some shorter tubeless valves to help dial in how much is exposed on my Roval Rapides CLXii.

I highly recommend the valves, they’re great
