3D Printing Thread

Here’s my latest. Soft jaws made specifically for AXS reverb dropper service. It works great and it saves thee step of removing the saddle to clamp to the top of the post. https://www.printables.com/model/1445997-rockshox-axs-reverb-clamping-jaws

Wow! What printer do you have? That thing mush have a huge print bed.

Did you ever share the Spurcycle bell model? I’m super interested in trying it!

I am trying to make a washer to put over the bottom bracket to save the paint with my T47A bb when I do maintenance but the 3D printing tool I’m using (PrusaSlicer) only lets me adjust the outer diameter. Is there a better way? I need the inner diameter to be about 55mm.

I never ended up changing the angle of the bell like I wanted! I’ll put that on my to-do list for this weekend, and hopefully share soon!

For simple shapes, I would create it in Tinkercad. You can upload an STL there and edit it, but for a shape like that you might be best served by just creating it from scratch.

They’re not that big, my print bed is only 256mm³

I have a Canyon Aeroad with the threaded seatpost mounts for a race number. I found this on Makerworld: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1772505-canton-aeroad-race-number-holder?from=search#profileId-1887248 which looked like a good solution for easily installing/removing a race number (I ride to local races)

Decided to try take it one step further and modify the design to attach my Moon Helix rear light, Moon basically uses a Garmin Quarter turn mount but 70% of the size

I’mcurrently having issues getting ASA to play nice, so I may just revert to PETG or get some PCTG for ease of printing, I tried to print it vertically, but there is some ‘sag’ when doing that, so the tolerances go out the window and I cant mount it on the original design. Will add more when I am happy with the finished product

Might also make a Bontrager Flare compatible version as I have one of those too

Pretty much finished, I gave up on ASA though

I had to sell my 3D printer when my first kid was born - just not practical in the house anymore. But man EVERY DAY I think of something I’d like to design and print.

One thing I’d want to do is create an AirTag holder for my Ostro’s internal Di2 battery mount.
