Besides looking funny, any reason you’d avoid putting this XO left side power meter on an XX Transmission crankset? I’ve never had two different crank arms on a bike and this would be a mix of carbon and aluminum.
It just costs so much less than the XX one… I don’t feel like I could tell the difference between a carbon and high end metal crank arm, even though I’d have one of each…
Yep it’ll fit totally fine, the interface is the same. Are you talking this vs the spider based XX crank though? That one is in theory more accurate, and is measuring true total power vs the simpler left side only spindle.
Thanks! I know that this left arm based meter is less accurate than the spider based one but the spider based one would require a new ring too and therefore more expensive than just replacing the left XX arm with a left XO power meter arm…
