Who's the worst at exercising?

I’ve got a question for the podcast. Everyone talks about FTP and Watts/kg and who’s the best at exercise contests. But who’s the worst at exercising? What rider has had the worst fitness with the best career by knowing which moves to get in, where the race will split, and doing the least amount of work in the break?

I’m a little reluctant to speculate, but Luca Paolini. Still probably physiologically exceptional but maybe had results and rides as a domestique beyond his ability?

Mark Cavendish, no contest. He was famous for having not great numbers when tested.

IS that certain? He didn’t have great w/kg for a sprinter but his advantage was in how aerodynamic he was. I am reading the question as who was the laziest, (“worst at exercising”) I’ve never really seen anything bad about Cav’s work ethic.

Pog until he was beaten in the TdF.

Not the answer you’re looking for but so much respect for Adam Hanson. He was able to have a very long career with specialization, equipment optimization and IIRC training nerd science.

Fair point. I read it as worst numbers, best results. IDK about laziest but Rui Costa was well known for not working in breaks, and he won a world RR championship.
