I’ve used many pairs of tall (and legendarily impervious) Velotoze shoe covers, and have been happy to get clean wet from inside to protect my shoes and feet from dirty wetness from the road. Whilst I’ve been aware of the snap bottom covers, I hadn’t realised until today that the two products are made of different materials. Has anybody had any experience with the silicone snap on covers ( veloToze Silicone Cycling Shoe Covers? )? Interested to know how they compare to the standard tall covers in terms of breathability, or if they are any easier to get on.
Thanks,
Steve
I have used both the regular Velotoze and the thicker ones with snaps. If Velotoze has not made any changes to the original ones I tried around 2017, the ones with snaps are easily more durable - thicker - and take significantly less time to put on and take off. I have worn mine for road riding and a gravel race, and they still look fine.
Thanks @Changren_Yong . So they make your feet just as sweaty as the original Velotoze?
In terms of sweaty feet, the Velotoze with snaps are no better than the original.

I have size 47 feet (UK 12 ish), and found the toe covers squashed the shoe so much they were incredibly uncomfortable and basically unusable.
Never really felt that I had a use case for toe covers myself. I did size up the Velotoze tall once thinking they might be easier to get on. They were a bit but they are actually baggy on the shoe.
The toe covers are made of silicon, like the full length version you talk about, which is why I mention them. If you have smaller feet it’s probably not much of an issue. Or the clasp method may alleviate that somewhat as well.
