I have been riding the Milton Velodrome since 2017, the last year was a rough year and to top it off I am recovering from a broken hand.
My frame is a 57, which puts me in a lower position but I can’t put the amount of pressure on my hands now. I want to put on a Redshift riser bar to bring me up to take off some weight. With a 50-70 mm rise (the bike is at the velodrome and I need to get it to measure) what other adjustments will I need to do to accommodate that change? I’m thinking a shorter stem because of going up brings you out geometry speaking.
Interesting. I have a similar problem (and haven’t ridden track for about a year due to injury also!) and didn’t consider this for raising the bars a bit.
Those redshift ones look really unsuitable for track though. Too wide for me at 41, and flares would feel a bit weird when really giving it the beans I would have thought.
Do you really need that much riser? It’s got me looking at things like the specialized hover, genetic d-riser.

If I could find an old steel frame I’d want a 60.
I’m not doing any racing, when my four returns I’ll sprint and the end, I go to the drop-in to ride for 1-1/2 hours for my winter “base” KMS
I’ll look into the specialized bars.
