The same discussion we have in Switzerland every time when our national team for soccer/football gets a new dress. I think it would be boring if the designers had to stick with the official flag colors over all those years.
Personally I like that new american kit, the soft colors look “dreamy” to me… The american dream?

I understand what you mean. But maybe that’s precisely the moment to reclaim the flag and be proud of “your” country with your values. Don’t let them take it away from you…
I agree, the previous design was dowdy and depressing. I think it has to be all Captain America all the time but I’m happy to see this new Rapha design too.

Isn’t it related to bodies not being flat and all? The A does seem a bit « off ». Still like the design.
Except for the small problem that Chloe Dygart will likely be wearing team USA kit at some point.

Perfectly captures the growing discomfort I have in my American skin. So, yes, this is the one I’d choose to wear even if my heart longs to be the country that would be ok with the Rapha version (realizing that, for cycling apparel makers, the spectrum of colors from orange to red occupies a place they randomly call either orange or red—looking at you, DMT, Specialized, and Fizik).

I do appreciate the fact that she (and Quinn) will be forced to wear a kit that also looks like the trans flag, so form that viewpoint alone, I like the kit.

I hadn’t realised there was a trans flag, went to check and yep, surprisingly similar, to the point that those keen to wear tin hats might suggest it was a deliberate subtle trolling.

USA cycling posted some images of the cx riders racing in it at Benidorm, it looks WAY better in daylight than in the rapha photos to my eye.

No surprise Rapha is going under. Pretty sad when this is the best they can do. Their BS marketing “art review” of the design was laughable as an art major. Pure spin and no real concept.

I’m a fan of the new version as I always thought the older versions were too comic book super hero-y or no nuance, Primal Jersey type of style. I do think it would have been nice with a darker red and navy-er blue. IMHO, of course.
