SwissStop brake pads

Anyone have any experience with SwissStop disc brake pads? I’m specifically looking at the Shimano 2 piston style pads.

I’ve used them a number of times and they perform very well, as good if not better than original pads (I use SRAM AXS). Just choose the right pad type for your use, the softer organic pads are what I use for squeak free progressive braking.

Had a few goes with the Exotherm 2s, specifically the Disc 34, and found them pretty poor when cold, but amazing when warmed up a bit, i.e. fast descents. Probably due to their semi-metallic nature.

These days, Shimano L05As work best for me, but if more heat is expected, then the K05Tis, as the titanium backing plate better keeps the heat within the pad and rotors themselves.

I’ve used the 34 RS in my Ultegra brakes. Quiet, no fade issues, nice progressive feel.

I only use SwissStop RS pads. They bed in very well and almost never squeal.

I’ve always been a huge fan of SwissStop pads. I run the DiscE on my gravel bike with Shimano brakes.

They seem to not only provide better modulation, but also handle the grit a lot better than the Shimano pads and don’t wear as quickly.

I only use their RS pads also. They squeal a lot less in the wet compared to the Shimano ones. I also use their rotors.

I rode the pads that work with the Shimano pistons, for 3 years with the pros, and particularly liked how they functioned. I found they had very few instances of brake rub after lengthy downhills, , nor did we ever truly experience the post-bike-wash squeal in the rain that the vast majority of other teams had. The rotors were sturdy and rarely deformed during that time (I used them exclusively in training, too, so had to look after them myself). I enjoyed them, and are now my first choice at home too.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Will give them a try.

Agree with the feedback here, its the only pads I use across my bikes.
