Route Title: Sugarloaf Gravel from the CBD

Is this a group/bunch ride? No - ride whenever you like!
Description: This is a solid mixed-terrain ride from Melbourne’s CBD. There’s not a lot of road riding with a solid mixture of bike paths and gravel roads. There’s tons of punchy challenging climbs, super nice gravel roads and views of the valleys out to the north of the city. Expect around 4 hours of riding at least.
I’ve done this ride on 35mm slicks and 42mm gravel tyres. Both are fun. I probably have a slight preference for the slicks due to the amount of paved kms on the route. They’re a bit rowdy on some of the gravel but that’s also fun.
Refuel Opportunities: The route passes through Warrandyte 30km in. Several cafes and bakeries here. Watsons Creek Cafe is at 60km but I have never stopped there so can’t say if it’s any good. Eltham is at around km 80 and I normally need to stop at a servo by this point!
