Skull cap recommendation

I use the Halo headbands, too, for their ability to divert the sweat away from my eyes.

I just ordered a Halo skull cap. Will report back…

So far so good. Hard to capture exactly whether what I’m noticing to date is the skull cap as I’m now wearing a new helmet which I haven’t had a chance to do a really sweaty ride in so far. The helmet seems to be way more airy anyway so I think I’m managing sweat better because of that as much as the skull cap.

That said, I used to have sweat running down my face even on mid-winter rides, and that hasn’t really happened at all since I started using it, so that’s gotta count for something. It’s very comfortable too.

Finally, I rate it just because it seems to be really well made. Again, it hasn’t had to suffer an Aussie summer yet, but so far there’s nothing to make me think it won’t handle it perfectly well.

As a bald, I always wear a casquette. I’ve never tried a skull cap. What are the benefits versus a casquette?

I use all 3 casquette (cycling cap with a bill) scull cap and head band.

Cycling cap is best for me in spring, because I can lower the bill and it prevents bugs from getting inside my glasses. You can also use the bill up or down to change the airflow through your helmet - bill up to reduce airflow.

Skill cap better in hot weather and headband even more so.
