I used the Thule Yepp Mini (the colorful one, not the polystyrene Nexxt version) for two years with our first kid, and now I’m reinstalling the mounting-bracket so I can use the seat with our second kid.
However, I’m missing one of the plastic shims that clamps around the quill stem. I remember it was cracked when I removed the bracket, although I thought it would still work and thought I’d kept it. But, can’t find it.
Thule doesn’t appear to sell spare-parts like this, although it’s possible that they do to bike shops. Is there any way to get one of these? It appears they’re designed to be replaced, so maybe dealers can get them?
OR is there some material that would work as a replacement? There are specific fitment lines (see bottom pic in the collage) that align the shim to the bracket body, and I’m skeptical that some rubbery silicone would be stiff enough against the compression involved here.
First line is to call Thule USA support tomorrow.
