The full story drops next week. It’s long, detailed, and packed with lessons that even the engineers helping interpret the data found surprising.

Cheers, I just heard them say on the geekwarning podcast that it would be live when the podcast I was listening to was live. Building web pages is time consuming, ask me how I know! Ha ha. It sounds like a goodie.

Excited, can’t wait!

Is it possible that the real reason the article is not out yet is because Ronan forgot to divide by -1, and as a consequence, the results of the testing were the exact opposite of what he thought they were? Crazier things have happened.

Clearly having to rig the results so Marathons aren’t in first place…

Just an amazing piece of work. Deserves to be written up for a sports science journal! Which begs the question, why are there no studies like this in sports science journals? Is it just that there’s no funding unless it comes from industry, thus producing conflicts of interest?

For those of us wanting to experiment with our own tyre pressures based on these findings, is there any advice? While I can see that an Escape Collective tyre pressure calculator might be premature, if 75 psi is optimal for Ronan, how might that be expected to scale with rider weight? (I’m 3 or 4kg lighter than Ronan I think).
