Road marking

If one wanted to mark their local roads ahead of the Tour of Britain passing through, what’s a good paint to use? Good as in - will mark a relatively rough tarmac surface without causing too much trouble if you are caught!

Thx

I think you’re looking for Marking Paint. I remembered this gofundme but it doesn’t sepcify a brand: https://www.gofundme.com/f/remembering-richard-moore-at-gentwevelgem?attribution_id=sl:ddd343e4-86cf-483e-8754-5bb07b5085d1&lang=en_IE&utm_campaign=man_sharesheet_dash&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link

Chalk seems to be the go if you can. It washes off the road fairly easy and is cheap to purchase.

Chalk is definitely the best option, but also will take the longest to put down.

if you are going to do paint, as mentioned, use marking paint which is specifically designed to not last long.

But it can still take quite awhile for it to go away.

Horrible on the knuckles though - took lots of skin off writing a message for Sir Cav in TdF last year :joy:

haha… I spoke to him about that at the TDU last January - He did say that he appreciated the effort you went to.
