Replacement name plate for Shimano CUES

My son has a Merida with Shimano CUES. He recently lost the name plate on his right shifter during a long ride, which we retrieved, but it had been squashed a bit by a car. I have looked in many online shops without any luck in finding this as a replacement part. I even checked through various 3D printer file catalogues to see if anyone had designed one yet, but alas, no. Is there a reason why this part is seemingly unavailable anywhere? I will be phoning around my local bike shops tomorrow to see if they can source the part for me, but I had hoped that such a small innocuous part would be an easy fix to do at home. If I have no luck in finding a supplier of this part, does anyone have a recommendation for a suitable fix or replacement? Diolch/Thanks

Find a busy shop. They usually keep piles of old parts for spares. You may find a used one for a cup of coffee..

I would contact a Shimano Service Centre shop - theyre obliged to carry more Shimano spares than they otherwise might want to, and will have the best idea of how to source them if not. I doubt there will be many spare ones lying around in dusty corners just yet given the relatively short time the CUES shifters have been available.
