Ravemen light alternatives

Hi!

Are there any alternatives to ravemen, i.e. any other lights that mount to a garmin mount and allow to stack the head unit on top?

What do you want the light for? Just a visibility flashing one?

ideally also to see, at least during dusk conditions. i used to have the ravemen fr300, which is just about bright enough to do that. in a perfect world i’m looking for something that’s not much heavier but a bit brighter

Anything wrong with the Ravemen or are you window shopping?

Is something that mounts under an out front mount acceptable?

What’s the budget?

@Daniel_Rossbach, would either of these help? I’ve found it easier to adapt a light to a gopro mount, then to look for a light that has a native Garmin mount.

Ravemen make an FR500 which is brighter and not much heavier: https://www.ravemen.com/en-za/products/fr500-garmin-compatible-front-bike-light

i lost the ravemen i had so I am looking for a replacement and was wondering if there is a better option out there

oh right I missed that in their line-up and had only seen the 1100, which is a bit more chunky. given that the 300 was heavy enough to break one mount, I was hesitant to go heavier.

I was looking for an option that also works for outfront mounts without a ‘socket’ at the bottom

I wouldn’t recommend a brighter Ravemen unless there’s a way to aim it properly while keeping your computer in a readable position. My pet hate is blinding oncoming bike lights.

Personally I run a Lightskin NACARoad under my Garmin, and yes it’s expensive but wow is it a good light.

I use a Go-Pro adapter underneath the Garmin mount for a Bontrager Ion 100 with one of the Blendr attachments.

Yes, I’ve done this too! I have a Raveman but these adapters allow you to angle the light.

The Bookman mounts on the under side of the Garmin mount. It’s a great light and might work for you if you’re using an out-front mount.
