Park Tool TS-2.2

Hi, I’ve got an opportunity to buy the TS-2.2 truing stand for $150 locally. I’m looking to true road and gravel carbon wheel sets, and maybe down the line build my own wheels.

Is the 2.2 still relevant as its getting kind of old? Thanks.

Yes, and you can get add-ons for thru axels. Or Chris may have a 3D adapter. I think the limit is it doesn’t do fat bike wheels.

The add-ons for thru axles are here.

Super simple. I just leave mine on my truing stand since most of what I deal with is thru-axle. If I come across quick releases, I just pop them off. These stands are well-made, and replacement spare parts are still available from Park Tool for the TS-2.2.

That is the model I have and it’s great. Built like a tank and handles thru axles no problem (with the adapter). I’ve used it to build and true a bunch of rim brake, disc brake, 700 and 650b wheels.

I say grab it! It will probably last the rest of your life.

Thanks everyone, just went and picked it up. Some rust here and there from being stored 12 years in a garage. Otherwise in great condition. Might buy the TS-RK to make it look new again.
