I just received a new set of Hunt Aero Wide SL Aluminum road wheels and am getting them set up for their first use. The User Guide from Hunt has strong wording that says to NOT use tires (tyres) that have already been fitted / used with another wheelset. The reason is that they may have stretched in use with a previous wheelset and will not fit securely on the new wheels.
How seriously should I be taking this message? I plan to use a set of Vittoria Corsa 32mm tube type tires with latex tubes, which I had used on a Velocity Aileron rim previously. The internal width of the Aileron rim is identical to the Hunt set I have now.
I am thinking of installing the tires and tubes on my new wheels, and if there is not an excessively loose fit on the new rim/wheel upon initial installation, to use the tires I have.
Anyadvice or recommendations are welcomed. Thanks!
