Why do I keep reading about teams planning to race the MCC in September this year? The latest was in Velo this week saying Modern Adventure has it on their schedule. There are only 4 months before this race is supposed to run but there is no organizer, no staff, no website nor social media, no permits and no comment from Baltimore officials where the race is supposed to run. Does anyone know what’s really happening and why teams keep planning on a race that doesn’t exist except on the UCI calendar?
I spoke with a friend who ran into one of the organizers based here in MD. I was informed the ASO is getting involved. If true this is big news.
It is still on the UCI calendar.

Thanks Tommy, as a native who was there for previous versions I’d love to have it run again but I’m highly skeptical. Closing a major city for a bike race takes a bit of advance planning.
I hope this is true, I drove down for 2 of the races with my kids, we had a really good time spending a weekend in Baltimore and the east coast can definitely do with another big race.
