I am looking for a stem that supports internal routing on a 2022ish Carbon Emonda.
Needs to be 100mm with about a 5 degree rise according to the most recent fit.
New bar is going to be an FSA SL-K.
I used an Enve Road stem on my Emonda, I think they have 7 degrees of rise so quote close to what you need. The cables run under the stem and are very neatly tucked away. Or you could stay in brand and use a Bontrager RSL stem. They look quite nice, very similar to the Enve actually.
Whatever you go for, if you want fully internal cabling, you’ll either need to use a Bontrager/Trek stem which is compatible with the existing interlocking spacers, or you’ll need to change the headset top cover and spacers to match your stem, or you’ll have issues with headset preload. It might be easier to just stick with a “normal” stem if that’s what you already have.
Yeah the internal routing was just a “while we are at it” idea the customer had.
I found an FSA adapter for Trek, but all the internal routing FSA options are for a drop, and the guy’s fitter called for a rise.
We decided to just forgo the internal routing, and the customer chose a Ritchey stem.
