I am picking up my shifter refresh project after a hiatus of use / ignoringthe problem. @Dave_Rome and Brad Copeland had recommended applying a “light grease” after spraying degreaser on the internals of my Shimano Road shifter that is not shifting. So, my question is… what should I use? I may have some lithium spray grease in my barn, but a light oil is not something I don’thave in my lubricant bins yet. Whar should I get / use?
To clarify, the recommendation was to spray with degreaser, then blow off with an air compressor, then apply “a light oil”
Just use a spray lube and clean off any excess
