I have the screw on version of the chuck on the Lezyne digital drive gravel pump - looking to replace with the push on version.
Two questions - best model? And - Installation. Just chop the old one off and connect the new?

The lezyne push on is crap imo, so just skip it. That leaves you Arundel, Presta, and Silca. Each of them should thread into the schrader side of your gravel chuck. I had the arundle one but preferred the locking chuck instead just b/c the push on didn’t operate at 90 degree. So the presta one might be better Prestacycle Pro Presta Head with Pump Hose Adapter Bundle

You might not be asking this but…clik valves and that push on chuck is total butter. I finally modified my Lezyne chuck with the Clik adapter and bought the 16 Clik valve set and switched over 2 mtb and 5 road bikes, no more threading on and off the chuck every time. And I keep my nice digital floor pump.

Lezyne has at least three chucks and two of them are no good (no opinion on the dual one, but suspicious it breaks). Lezyne’s presta floor pump head (all aluminum) is an easy replacement (just unscrew the old one, pull it off, push on the presta and screw the retainer back down).
Takes maybe two minutes to swap, worth it if you want to stick with lezyne.
I have been burned by screw ons multiple times but never by the flip locks - except the ones with a plastic head, where the pivot point is always doomed.

The Silca push-ons are fantastic, I have two 35 year-old specimens that, like the pista pumps they came on, still get used all the time. Just not at races, where nothing that “can be fiddly” gets packed.

Whatever you get, don’t get the plastic presta-schrader combo push-on. Doesn’t fit valves well, and is huge. No good for kids’ bikes or cargo bikes with small wheels in particular (both objects I live with and inflate often).
Installation for me was super easy. IIRS there’s a compression fitting at the base of the chuck. Unscrew. Then pull the hose barb out of the hose and put the new one in. The last time I did this, it took less than five minutes and did not require cutting but perhaps I did something wrong.
As much as I hate to admit it, I lit money on fire migrating away from the 90 degree chuck with the thread-on adapter that could be reversed to flip presta or schrader. It’s requires an annoying anount of thumb strength to use… but it actually fits bikes with tiny wheels.
I support @John_Andrews suggestion. The Lezyne Clik adapter (which is an easy screw-in replacement for your current chuck) is so, so much better than any of the Lezyne’s other chucks (when used with Clik valves, of course), you will never look back!

Thanks all for the contributions - a bit to think about. Convert to Clik (strong support and good reviews) - but then factor in the adaptors for CO2 inflators, electric pumps etc or go with an alternative pump head for the shed pump…hmmm
Silca’s head is very good and there’s a Cannondale near identical copy that’s a bit cheaper
