Interesting helmet addition by Lazer. A tiny bluetooth (I assume) speaker and microphone on your helmet strap.
Also seems to have the ability to create a little radio network in your bunch ride for all riders using the same product.

I can’t.
But cool(??) that you can control it with your Di2 buttons now to get some AXS integration
They might as well partner up with Cat-Ears at this point. Probably improves mic quality as well!
Sena makes something similar called the BiKom 20. My wife and I use them for our family rides with our 2 year old in a trailer, and it’s awesome to be able to communicate easily. I’ve used Sena intercoms on motorcycle headsets for years and they’ve evolved to the point where they’re really great.
For those unfamiliar, these Lazer units were developed in partnership with Cardo, which is the other big name in motorcycle helmet intercoms.
It does look better when wearing sunglasses.
I’ve been able to spend about 5 hours testing this out to compare with my Shokz OpenRun open ear bone conduction headphones. I was surprised how well the audio worked in a headwind or crosswind environment. Music and podcasts (even an episode of Spin Cycle) were able to be heard clearly in conditions that are challenging for the Shokz unit. I placed two phone calls and could hear the audio clearly while the person on the other end of the call could also hear me clearly, no notice of wind noise or muffled voice on their side. After 5 hours the battery was at 75%.
Audio quality was as good as the Shokz. Open ear systems are going to work only so well. It’s not Beats by Dre.
I have not tried the intercom feature yet as I only have one set to test.
Certainly a niche product. If you don’t ride with headphones you probably don’t need this. If you do use headphones or ride in a group you would like to keep in contact with (intercom group can accept up to 30 users) it’s a option.
For an open ear system I was impressed how well VeloVox worked. USA availability starts Sept 23.
Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.

Hi Chris, thanks for posting on here! Do they decrease wind noise at all like Cat Ears?
I’ve not tried the Cat Ears product but I did not perceive a noticeable decrease in wind noise just by having the VeloVox units mounted to the helmet straps.
Whats wrong with shouting? Frantic gesticulation and “WHAT!?” is all part of the experience.
There’s probably some upsides I’m missing:
“You already at the cafe? Mines an espresso and a double slice of Gateaux please”
“Corrr look at those legs”
“Someones drawn a giant penis on the road” etc. etc.
Oh no. We might look like dorks on our bikes. Anyhow.
I wish Shokz would integrate a feature like this.
I hate it, but if it somehow makes me more aero I’m in!
