A friend had OutBraker installed to allow use of the right hand RED lever as a single control for both front and rear discs. It did not go well, with tons of issues and failure of the OutBraker Has anyone found an alternative that’s reliable?

Are they 100% set on drop bars?
If not, the Hope duo levers are genuinely brilliant, and provide independent control of both calipers. You might get away with using the existing SRAM calipers too, as both use DOT fluid. And they do fun colours… You could then use blips or an MTB pod shifter to control the shifting.
Maybe not the solution you wanted, but a great product that should actually work reliably.
