With darker morning upon us, curious for some recommendations for a clean, safe, and effective helmet light setup for the trails. Ideally something that can give me ~45mins before sunrise but also not too heavy that it won’t be annoying for the remainder 2-3hrs of the ride.
Outbound lights have some very good helmet lights that are pretty light.
But I usually just use a regular HB light w/ a GoPro mount on my helmet. NiteRider Lumina 900 / 1100 works well and isn’t too heavy.
+1 for NiteRider Lumina. I also recommend using an adhesive GoPro mount on the helmet. The trick is getting the placement correct. There is a perfect spot for the center of balance and ability to position the light. Just don’t go too low on placement.
