Favero Assioma service question

After about 5000km of all-weather commuting and gravel riding, I figure it’s about time I changed the grease in my Favero Assioma Pro MX-1 pedals. They say the procedure is in their app, but I can’t find anything other than the stock user manual. Any YouTube vids are marked as private. They gave me 2 tools with the pedals, but I’m not sure how to use them. I think they may be covers to keep grease off the spindle threads.

Does anyone have any experience with the procedure of replacing the spindle grease on the FA Pro MX pedals? Any links to videos or text-based instructions?

Yes sure. The tools provided are to keep grease out of where it shouldn’t go. There is a photo in my review that shows how they’re used.

While I suspect there are other instructions floating around (although oddly, the previously available instructions page is now a 404), the “Change Body” option within the app will walk you through the procedure. That one is at least easy to see.

I was looking for instructions as well, I have greased my Pro MX’s previously and watched the now private video and believe I found some written instructions as well. Strange that they have all disappeared. I seem to recall the old instructions suggested sticking a blob of grease into the pedal body, then inserting the spindle. Maybe too much grease was being used and causing problems.
Thanks @rapsac for providing the instruction pdf, though at Step 2, it says to put the seal into the pedal body and then insert the greased spindle, well the seal will just wipe off the grease. I fitted the bush and seal onto the spindle, then greased it and inserted it into the pedal body.
For context, I have the single sided Pro MX pedals and they have now done 9500 miles. I first greased them at 7300 miles, and maybe should have greased them earlier. Both bearing surfaces are dull, which is fine but one of the bushings had put some score marks on the spindle, grit maybe and of course on the expensive spindle.
So I bought the Pedal Repair Kit, containing new bushes, seals, end caps, pedal washers and the two grease tools and after a very wet and gritty UK winter, but only an additional 2100miles, re-greased and used the new parts. On disassembly everything was still clean, with no signs of further wear.

Within the app, if you tap the menu burger –> Help –> Upgrade and Spare Parts –> Choose pedal –> Left/Right Pedal Repair Kit Installation, you get a step-by-step walk through. Assumes you’re replacing the small bits, but the steps are exactly the same if you just clean and reinstall the original bits.
