Removed since this thread is not for chat about CX
Please dont post race spoilers here. That was not the intension of my original post.
Perfecto, thanks cycling news How to watch cyclocross: Live streams, TV channels, schedule | Cyclingnews
āAnd @escapecollective: yāall keep listing flo as the US streaming platform for SP, exact, and troffeeā¦its HBO.
Iāve been watching the X2O races and superprestige live on the CX youtube channel without commentary and they start right before the start and end as soon as the race ends. https://www.youtube.com/@trenti2 to to the live tab to see replays.
I donāt understand why it works.
It seems like this is just the HBO Max/Eurosport Italia stream without commentary (but with a picture of the course broadcasted during commercials)
Cosmo and Kit seasonal CX podcast and/or newsletter with their Reels and GIFs⦠would listen and read. Love them both too. I could see them geeking out fully on CX.
On the other hand, if they expand their target audience to include people who love CX, it just might increase their subscription base and make them even more successful. I would be pretty stoked if EC even just reposted recaps from the newswires to start, and if/as interest grows, then they could hire a dedicated reporter or interviewer.
For example, the WVA/MVDP rivalry was on my radar because of cyclocross even before the two riders stepped up to WorldTour road teams.
I assumed the ven diagrams of road cycling fans and CX fans was a lot more overlap that road and XC.
What else are we supposed to watch on the turbos in the winter?
What are the best sites for CX content? Not just race results, but updates on missing racers ( wout, mvdp, puck, shirin, etc) , injured racers (celine, annemarie, sara c, cracked fem, eli, plus many more)
@escape collective theres an article idea for you.
Definitely Wielerflits (use go ogle translate if needed). I mean, who else goes this deep into the tea leaves to speculate on something like the date of Matjeās first race this season:
Sporzaās website is pretty good too, but it has a fairly strong focus on just the Belgians.
I LOVE that podcast and I just love Issam and Noah. I probably like CX more because I Iike them so much! I workout to races so MTB and CX first became interests just to have races on for workouts but now I really love both of those disciplines. Do wish there was a Noah & Issam equivalent for MTB ā any suggestions?
I would like a calendar with dates/how to stream (worldwide, incl not English options that are free) for both CX and MTB XCO and XCC.
My likely unpopular opinion: If resources are limited, they could spend LESS money & staff covering all the fancy $$$$$$ new bikes and tech.
I love cycling as a sport to WATCH, but I am a very basic cyclist at best and in ZERO completely ZERO way could afford to be anything else anyway. LOL. So quite a bit of the EC coverage & chat just misses me. Thereās always the NERO show and Peak Torque, etc nerding out on tech for those that have the budget for that stuff.
On the tech side, would love to see at least something on buying a basic bike and e-bike for a normie adult and/or a normie child/teen. And what to do if you are a short adult!
Bluesky is a great place to get good, short updates about riders, etc from CX fans!
Three of my favorite cycling disciplines: CX, Randonneuring (PBP etc), and commuting, get almost no coverage, which is pretty DISAPPOINTING, as Kevin Sorbo might exclaim.
Anyone have suggestions for streaming the dutch and belgium cx national championships in the US (for free)? I gots a vpn, just dont know where to point it
The usual suspects, Dutch at NOS (.nl, but it should also be available on Eurodiscomax+), Belgian at Sporza (.be).
Iād be interested in an article on CX tech or tips from CX mechanics that could be applied to other disciplines such as gravel. Thereās got to be a wealth of information there about keeping your bike running in mud and glop.
Pam spray on everything (except braking surfaces).
