Rumors about sanctioned doctors worming their way back in definitely seem possible. The statement about the UCI pressing the Int’l Testing Agency to find a high-profile seems quite odd. I wonder if it’s a summary of some other statement, e.g. we want to demonstrate that the ABP is effective at the top ranks of the sport, please conduct some focused testing. I sort of wondered for a minute if the UCI had someone specific in mind, but I think the other meaning is more likely.
