Boulder -> Left Hand Canyon -> Brainard Lake -> Lyons -> back to Boulder (big mountain day)

Route Title: “Best Boulder Ride”

Link to Route file: Ride with GPS | Bike Route Planner and Cycling Navigation App

Description:
Head out on Lee Hill Road, take Olde Stage over to Left Hand Canyon, climb up to Ward and then Brainard Lake, and ride down Peak to Peak out to Lyons and back on 36 or 75th through Hygiene.

There’s a lot of mountain climbing; this starts with about 5000 ft straight of climbing other than a quick downhill on Olde Stage. You will get some fantastic descents coming down Highway 7 (after Peak to Peak dead ends)

Refuel Opportunities: I’d stop in Ward (2-2.5 hours in) to refuel, and in Lyons there’s a little park the route goes right by that has a water station as well. Barring that, there’s a gas station on your way out of town before you hit 36. Especially if you’re tired, make sure to refuel for the last hour back in town.
