Bike Hire in Girona

I’m going to be in Girona for a weekend and planning to hire a bike for a day - I’ve seen there’s a number of places offering the service but just wondering if any EC members has anyone they would recommend?

Thanks in advance for any advice which would be much appreciated!

I recently hired from Rocacorba Atelier in the centre of Girona.

They were reasonably priced and have a fleet of new Canyons (road, gravel and MTB). I hired an Endurace from them last month. They provided insurance and all the usual bits and pieces but could also rent you a helmet and pedals if you wanted. They were very friendly and very flexible with some last minute changes in return time. I would happily go back to them.

Couple of members of our group also hired from Trek Girona - also in the centre. They pitched up with some nice Madones..

Lastly, there’s a company - also in the centre - called Eat, Sleep, Cycle which some of our group used.

All 3 seemed great so perhaps depends on who has a bike available..

Enjoy the trip..

Hired a Colnago G4X from Eat Sleep Cycle and it was an all-around positive performance. The bike was essentially brand new (as of April 2026). Make sure to turn up right when the shop opens - there will be a queue.

I rented a Basso from Eat Sleep Cycle in Girona—the bike was great (SRAM electronic shifting) and they were great about everything, unlike most other rental shops I’ve dealt with. I’m headed home right now from a cycling trip to Ronda and Malaga—the shop in Ronda was a nightmare to deal with, while Eat Sleep Cycle in Malaga (where I rented a Shimano equipped Colnago) were as great as their Girona hub was. Instead of rushing me out the door with a poorly fit bike and threatening to charge me additional fees if I scratched the bike, they took the time to properly fit me to the bike, happy to put my own saddle on it and encouraged me to take a test ride around the block to make sure everything was good. Plus, they design and make great kit (all made in Girona). They invited me on their Saturday morning group ride & I had a blast! Great folk. I highly recommend them.

This is of absolutely no use to you now but far-and-away the best bike hire experience I’ve ever had was in Girona. At Bike Breaks we hired two quality bikes and were invited out on the shop ride with everyone from holiday goers to neo-pros. It was flipping brilliant with a proper tear-up to the cafe. People gave us route tips, cafe recommendations, all sorts. Later in the week I bought a pair of used Dura-Ace wheels and various ex-team goodies from the shop part of the business. It was like being part of a bike club you didn’t even know you were a member of. A proper community hub.

Unfortunately they closed during Covid, and while Girona still has plenty of options I’m not sure it’ll ever top Bike Breaks!

I find bike rent girona (Campo bicicleta) more relaxed than eat sleep cycle. It’s 800m away from the Barri Vell and they only have Bianchi bikes.

One more vote for Campo Bicileta / Bike Rent Girona. As mentioned they skip the boutique experience and provide solid high quality rentals and service at the best prices I’ve found. I’m usually around in off season as I’m in the area on business in the Winter and they are great about opening up just for me on occasion.

I hired from Trek last time I was in Girona, and was perfectly happy with them.

I haven’t used the one in Girona, but I hired from Eat Sleep Cycle in Málaga and they were good too.

Just to throw another option into the list, Velodrom do bike hire (but I haven’t used them).

I’d be inclined to just check all of the options mentioned in the comments, and just see who has the bikes you like most available in your size, and at the best price. I expect any of them will be fine. The other thing to check is opening hours, as they do vary a little bit (which can make a difference if you’re tight on time).
