Bib recommendations for tall riders

6’3 and around 82kgs right now - my go to bibs are either 7Mesh where I’m between Small and Medium or Albion bibs in Medium, both I find are very comfortable.

Endura SL longs were my go-to, but supply has dried up. Now that makes sense with their economic troubles.

I recently tried the Cuore custom route with some M +4cm inseam Silver bibs and like them thus far. They seem nicer than the Enduras, but they are a bit thinner. Probably nice for summer…bit breathable for winter. I was between M and L on their chart and went M. It was probably the right move, but they are slimmer than Enduras (but not old Castelli slim).

I’m the same height and a few kgs lighter than you. I wear Assos medium, which fit perfectly. In the past Assos sizing was based on height only: those older bibs are XL. Both fit fine.

6’6”, 80kg. I wear galibier classics. Their tights come in different bib lengths too but not tried yet.

Recommend against Santini unless you enjoy wedgies.

6ft 4 (193cm) here and between 76 and 79kg depending on season. I have settled on Rapha Pro Team Long shorts in medium.

The price is eye watering (I don’t buy any other Rapha stuff for this reason) but they are super comfortable, seem to last, and they avoid the Sean Yates hot pants look.

190 cm, 88.5 kg (6’3”, 195 lbs in old money), more of it in the legs than most people - I have the inseam of someone who is 6’6”.

I’ve had good luck with Gobik Revolution bibs for road and 7mesh gravel bibs. The Gobik Revolutions are extra-long in the legs, and the straps are wide and comfortable. Also like Cuore since I can specify just how much extra length I want and their pad is excellent. Agree with what others have posted re: 7mesh.

194cm, 85kg here, Pactimo makes some of their shorts in a long version and I highly recommend for a US-based manufacturer.

I am struggling finding thermal bib shorts that are long enough. Oddly enough the Castelli Omloop fits the bill. Any other recommendations?

I’ve had Pactimo club jerseys and really liked them. What size do you get?

Similar height, but sadly more kilos. My go-to bib shorts are Giordana – their FRC-Pro shorts fit me perfectly. High quality material and padding. Very often highly discounted/outleted, so check the inter webs.

I like the Ascent Vector (especially on sale) for a very comfortable, durable everyday training bib. Comfy to 6+ hours. I have a few pairs of medium long from when I was more like 78-80kg (before being a dad, ha), and they still fit great. At 85kg I’d go large because the leg grippers feel a bit tight.

I’m 6’4 Aussie

Im still riding my ASSOS 15 year old bibs, quality certainly lasts

6’3” and 80kg. Le Col ARC shorts (size L) are great - bib straps are long and comfortable. They don’t feel like they are compressing your spine/cutting into shoulders as with many other brands. Often available at a signficant discount over RRP. I’ve also had Endura shorts which are good too.

191cm and 82kg here, with long legs. I’m a big fan of Gobik’s bibs (durable and comfortable), as well as offerings from Le Col and Café du Cycliste. I wear a size medium in all three and the straps don’t cut into my shoulders, with all three shorts having the compression level I like.

Of note is that I’ve also had great experiences with The Black Bibs’ longer inseam and tall cuts, though their long-term durability isn’t quite as good in their Plus line. I’ve not tried their Ultimate line as yet.

6’2”, 170 here. Pactimo Raptor size M in the long version for me is perfect. Pretty sure the long adds approx 1in to leg length, but nothing to shoulder straps. Sounds like your issue is more the straps. My 6’2” is more torso than legs and the Raptor straps are plenty long for me. The website used to list the differentiation between long and regular, but I just checked and not there now. The woven, compressive Raptor fabric works great for me.

I find they have short legs though

Not wanting to rude to people trying to be helpful, but aren’t the “I’m of longer than average leg for my height” replies missing the point that the OP is after shorts with a long bib strap, i.e. they are long in the torso, whereas if you’re particularly leggy then presumably you don’t particularly need long straps unless you’re also really tall.
