Ben Healy stage 6 win

Shame that there’s not going to be a series 4 of Unchained, I’d love to have seen the behind the scenes build up to that stage yesterday. Although I’m often sceptical about hindsight views of race plans, I get the impression that the EF win yesterday was as well thought out as Southam et al are saying, and that it actually did go almost entirely to script.

P.s. Irish by birth or not, he’ll always be Stourbridge Ben in our house

Is he on the cover of the Stourbridge Times today? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The race tv episode is out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qw1svoZU_k0

The vibes at that team are just immaculate. Loved to see them cheer at the podium ceremony!

During the RaceTV episode on his win, you can see a big TV behind Charly when he’s talking about race strategy. The last line on the tv:

Neilson, Alex, Ben priority boarding

Love to see it

How many of those attacks has Healy launched in vain?! Such a thrill to see one stick all the way through the end.

Love the guy’s attacking style…fantastic to see it rewarded on the biggest stage.

Definitely a missed opportunity not to have the Vaughters “Carapaz got sick so the sky is falling; jk - Healy won a stage” episode.

That was a really good episode! It’s a good reminder of how much a single Tour win in a career means to these guys.

Not yet, but Stourbridge News is a weekly paper . Just to manage expectations ahead of the next edition though, the webpage news article on his ascent to the lead in the Tour ( Tour de France 2025: Wordsley’s Ben Healy takes yellow jersey | Stourbridge News) states that “Ben Healy has ridden himself into the leading yellow jacket position at the 2025 Tour de France”.

On the plus side, during the ITV highlights programme last night Matt Rendell did congratulate BH on taking the jersey back to the Black Country.
