Bardet has Spirit of Gravel

Did anyone else see the tire company promo YouTube video with Bardet talking about how he’s looking forward to racing where it’s just a man on his bike, and no team tactics? That’s why he’s racing gravel, also so he can ride with his childhood friends who still live in the same town as him. And also camp and tell stories. Seems like he may be thinking of gravel racing from five years ago.

I didn’t see it, do you have a link?

Good luck, Romain. Mahoric showed up to Unbound in his WC stripes, with teammates and a pit crew. He abandoned and proclaimed that he was sticking to road racing.

Bardet went alright in his first gravel race - came in 10th:

I try to go and say hi. Was in contact with him for sponsorship after he announced retirement and change to gravel. Seemed like a nice guy.

I went to Lahti for the inaugural FNLD GRVL…spectacular course and setting. I can only image what it would be like in autumn for this race.
