My brother, a relatively recent convert to road cycling (via Netflix TdF), has been planning to attend Worlds with my wife and I. Since he lives 4 hours south of Montreal, we’re visiting his family, including traveling up to Montreal Friday-Monday, to catch the elite women’s and men’s races.
His Airbnb (near the route) was unfortunately recently canceled (by Airbnb). The seller re-listed and he got first dibs, but that reservation was canceled again; All he knows is that it’s something wrong with the seller’s listing, w.r.t. Airbnb’s terms.
EDIT: my brother broadened his search area, and decided to rent a place some ways south of Montreal, and then catch a train into the city. I think this will work well enough for sightseeing and taking in both the women’s and men’s elite races. So he’s okay at this point.
This late in the game, lodging is very limited and very expensive. So I’m trawling around for people who have a spare bed in theirs. It would be him and his 6-year-old daughter, who can easily share a bed. He’s 6’6" tall (198 cm) so a full/double bed would need to have no footboard. He and his daughter would spend most of each day with me/wife/kids.
