Hypothetical question.
On a sprint stage something happens outside 5k that delays the sprint teams. Within 5k Remco falls of his bike with nobody else involved. Pog then gets the jump on everyone else and wins by 20 secs from JV who finishes in the main group with Remco coming in 30secs later
What time does Remco get?
If you crash in the 5km zone you get the same time as the group as you were with at the time.
In your scenario Remco would get the same time as JV as that’s the group he was in at the time.
So if you are going to fall off your bike that’s a pretty good time then, ,
