I have a Power2Max spider-based power meter that is currently mated to a set of 170mm Easton EA90 cranks, which use the CINCH interface. This is the setup I use on my allroad bike with an external T47 BB.
I would like to replace these with a set of 165mm cranks and reuse the power meter. It doesn’t look like either the EA90s or EC90s are available in anything shorter than 170. Are there any road spaced cranks that use the CINCH interface?
Easton crank options are pretty pitiful, and I too had to look elsewhere, and the answer is from the Chinese brands.
Lexon are excellent IMO (I have two sets, one set each for road and gravel bikes), but there are others. FYI though, although they may come with one side fitted to the spindle, in my case there was no grease/locktight and nor was it fully tightened, so assume full disassembly and reassembly.
Cybrei crankarms also come in the Cinch direct mount standard, with lengths starting from 150mm and in 2.5mm increments.
Worth noting that a swap in BB would be required to run these crankarms (as well as the other Chinese ones mentioned here), as they’re offered only in Dub or 24mm axle diameters, and not Easton’s 30mm one.
Not necessarily. 30mm to 29mm top hat spacers maybe all that’s required, and this is exactly the setup I’m using. This is fairly normal too, as Hope and some other aftermarket component makers don’t do a separate Dub BB, and simply supply spacers with their 30mm BB to allow use with DUB cranks.
Perfectly decent 30mm to DUB delrin (or similar) spacers can be found for very little money on AliExpress.
Practically every carbon crankset on ali comes in Cinch. Its actually annoying to me as I’ve got several sram 3 bolt pm’s. All kinds of options, many dub, but there’s a trend to 24mm stepped ti axles as well. Also some non ali sellers like DFS, and many are coming out with sets significantly under 290g.
