1" Fork Steerer w/ 1 1/8" Spacers Concern

Techies: I replaced the fork on my 2000 Paramount Ti with a Ritchey WCS carbon with aluminum steerer to add a wider tire. Ritchey allows only 90mm above the headset, so I kept to this length including the stem so I can move the stem up or down, and slide in a K-Edge head unit holder in the stack.

The Ritchey stem arrived with a spacer to fit a 1” steerer, so I decided to stack two of these spacers for the length of the exposed steerer, and then use 1 1/8” spacers to fill the space below and above the stem. The two spacers meet at the middle point of the stem clamp.

Question: is this potentially dangerous? Am I putting undue stress on the steerer?

Thanks in advance!

I’d put the oversize spacers above the stem. Once it’s clamped they’re basically for show only.
