I’m resurrecting this thread as I’m in the design phase of a 32” gravel bike and in need of a sanity check regarding chainline.
I’m planning on reusing the XPLR derailleur and 10-46T XPLR cassette of my current gravel bike and considering OP’s problems with the spokes hitting his derailleur (SRAM XPLR E1 13s derailleur cage hitting spokes on a 32 inch wheel and largest sprocket) am considering using a rear hub wider than 142mm (148mm Boost or even 157mm Superboost).
Provided I pair whatever hub spacing I choose with a matching crankset/spindle/chainring combo (i.e. 52mm for Boost, 55mm for Superboost) shifting should be good, correct?
Is there anything else I should consider when using wider rear hub spacing?
