Xcadey powermeter

I’m having issues fitting an xcadey powermeter and crank.

The PM retaining ring binds with the face of the BB due to being proud of the crank spindle (see photos)

Is this is a mistake ? Can it be fixed? Should I be using spacers?

After watching a lot of YouTube videos, I think I’ve figured out the problem—but something still doesn’t seem quite right.

It turns out this is an Easton Cinch interface for attaching the power meter to the crank. In one of Easton’s installation videos, they use a washer/shim of around 4 mm, which is slightly larger than the power meter’s retaining ring.

On my powermeter, I measured the retaining ring at 5 mm, so I’ll need to find a washer/shim that’s a little bigger. My concern is that this might throw off the Q-factor.

If you can spot a difference of 1mm of Q factor, you must have a gobsmackingly consistent pedal stroke. I wouldn’t worry about it.
