I have a set of Kitsbow (RIP) knickers that are unlined. Think just like regular bibs but mid calf. Does anyone know of another manufacturer that makes something similar?
These are really low on stock but Pearl Izumi has had these in their lineup for years so they’ll likely be available again soon.
Black Bibs makes a very affordable (and quite nice) one: Ultimate Non-Thermal Knickers – The Black Bibs
What size do you need? Assos makes an unlined Mille GT bib tight. I love mine and bought several; if you take a TIR (which fits me at about 160 lbs) I’d let one pair go (I moved south recently and don’t need as much winter clothing as I previously did).
I am looking specifically for a knicker. But thanks.
Thanks for this.
I think these have a lining. But thank you.
There’s definitely a no-chamois version. Exte-Ondo and Velocio still have ones that they sell in Europe but I haven’t seen them in the US.
Have you considered knee warmers? The Kitsbow’s are pretty light and a decent knee warmer should provide the same kind of warmth.
With unlined, do you mean no chamois? Rogelli make bib tights without chamois - only full length though, not 3/4. Not sure about availability in your region, they’re a Dutch budget brand.
Alternatively, ride in your normal bib shorts with knee warmers?
I have been more clear - unlined as in no thermal or fleece lining. Basically the same material as bib shorts but in 3/4 length.
I like the fit of the 3/4 better than how knee warmers grip my thighs. I know it’s a picky thing.
