They went spectacularly belly up about three years, and as per another post, given the brand name and seemingly some old stock was acquired by Frasers Group (best known for ruining the reputation of various historical brands and for fooling people into thinking everything is permanently discounted), I wouldn’t trust them for online purchases, or indeed any form of purchase if the brand is one of their own.
Oh shoot - I hadn’t realized that Bike Tires Direct got purchased by Backcountry last year. I guess that’s why Western Bikeworks shut down their bricks & mortar location?
I hope they don’t mess with BTD - while I have had nothing but good experience with Competitive Cyclist/Backcountry.com over the years, BTD was especially great with their Instant Price Match program.
I have placed 4 orders - mostly tires, Shimano disc rotors and pads, bar tapes - from lordgun for a grand total of $730 and no issue so far.
Mantel.nl is my go to for things I need quickly as they are next day delivery (at least within NL), well priced but not the widest selection. Otherwise I tend to use the German sites already mentioned, though they don’t do free delivery so I tend to try not to order too frequently.
Similarly iffy experiences with bikeinn & mostly ok but some long delays due to things not being in stock. But sometimes they’re the only ones stocking something. One shop I recommend avoiding is Hollandbikeshop though, they sent me used tools then took several months to give me my money back and were very difficult to deal with.
