Hey there. I got a pair of Duke Strada wheels with a nice 25mm internal width. I put 30mm Pirelli P Zero RS on them that measure 32mm when inflated. However the tread seems thin, and the recent review of the tire on bicyclerollingresistance points out this tire has a very narrow tread width.
What I’m concerned about is cornering traction. I recently crashed in a hairpin descent (on narrower wheels with a tire with wider tread) and now have little faith in this wheel tire combo.
Am I right to be concerned about this? Does anyone have experience with this tire on 25mm internal rims who could dispel my worries? Does anyone have a suggestion for a better tire - one with a wider tread that isn’t necessarily much wider in total (would like the rim tire combo to remain somewhat aero)?
Thank you!
Niko
