IMHO, The E1 gen is the first time SRAM has had a lever with ergonomics that don’t feel like a prototype when compared to modern Shimano levers. I have Ultegra on one bike and had D1 Force prior to getting the E1 and going back and forth was painful.
I’ve finally adjusted my braking technique on the new levers to not consciously move my fingers out of the way to prevent getting pinched and not being able to fully brake, which I had to do with all previous SRAM levers. I truly cant believe it took them so long to address that problem that I found legit dangerous.
