I have a 2024 Pivot Switchblade with GX AXS t-type. For some reason it started to not make the shift from gear 7 to 8. It will go into gear 8 if I overshift into 9 and then drop to 8.
This began after I removed the mech after a trip into the mountains. Shifting was fine during the trip, but I wanted to give it a good cleaning and put up for sale.
I have installed/hung t-type components on 4 different bikes, including this one when I built it. Confirmed setup key, cog and chain length. I am using a torque wrench for the RD mount bolt and thru axle. Also tried to microadjust.
Try a new chain. In my experience, sluggish shifting starts on Transmission due to lateral chain wear. This occurs well before lengthwise chain wear indicators shows it as worn.
I rehung the RD again for the 5th time and it was then making the shift. I don’t think I did anything differently than before. I have beeen using large torque wrench set to 35Nm, and compared pulley cage to a brand new pulley cage. Not really sure what was going on.
Chain is also fairly new, and been waxed since day one earlier this year.
