It tested amazingly well at ZFC and a couple of the Discord regulars have had really good results. One of the members even cites that it has continued to run well after some completely (like fully submerged at points) wet rides.

I won’t be trying Squirt hot melt just yet. Looks like there’s a problem with it whereby putting a chain back in the pot without cleaning it right back (including removing the used wax) can introduce something that destroys the wax in the pot. One to keep an eye on though.

Has anyone actually done testing of different hot waxes to determine which last the longest / stays quiet and smooth the longest? I get the focus on saving watts, but for my everyday use I would be a lot more interested in knowing which product keeps my maintenance intervals the lowest and the ride as enjoyable as possible.

I had the same experience at L&F in '25, tried again in '26 w/ 2 endurance chips in Silca wax and made it to mile ~70 (Paul aid station) where I had to top it off w/ Squirt. I’ve heard good things about Rex so will try that next (and I think @Dave_Rome has been using it for a while so he might have more to share).
