Recomendation for an air compressor inflator

I’ve had a weird interaction with Prestacycle.

Based on Dave’s round up on air compressors I bought a Prestacycle Prestaflator Pro Digitial a few years ago and it worked great until recently. The digital gauge gave a low battery warning but after swapping in new 2032 batteries it would only read 0 PSI.

I got in touch with Prestacycle support and they quickly offered to send a replacement. They never asked for my address but I guess they had it from my email on the orignal order. A few weeks go pass without seeing anything so I asked for a tracking number. They said it was turned around at the border and will try with Purolator, then they said it can’t be sent so they gave me a full refund.

Strange, but I guess it’s good service. Now I’m in the market for a new inflator. Anyone have other recomendations? Bonus points if it works with Clik Valve out of the box.

I don’t have an answer to your question, but a similar experience: I replaced the battery on my Prestacycle digital inflator gauge, which only recorded 0 psi afterward.

I emailed them, they promised to send a replacement, weeks went by, I emailed again, and one arrived five days later. Seems to be working well so far.

I’m in the U.S., so I don’t know if your border issues are related to geography.

Good luck!

I recently bought a Viair TLC inflator and it works great. It only has an analog gauge, though. I don’t rely on it since I always use an external gauge, so I can’t attest to its utility.

If you get Viair’s Schrader hose, you can thread a Clik Valve head right into it.

Here’s my setup for Clik Valves:

I also bought a Prestacycle Pro inflator at the same time, and it was of noticeably lower quality when compared to the Viair.

Thanks! I had a look at the Viair website and you can get a portable compressor that comes with inflator, chuck, and hose for not much more than just the inflator.

That is a great deal for what you get.
