Pace shoes showing up in my feeds

Anyone know anything about this pace brand, they advertise the ridiculous comfort for < 100 bucks.

Only cycling brand I’ve heard of with that name is the famous Pace Cycles in the uk.

just searched for Pace Shoes and they might be ok, but I suspect they will be about as good as their price suggests, and no better than anything at equivalent price. I’d imagine they are generic Chinese made shoes stamped with their own branding.

For a start, the Boa dials are a Boa clone/copy. And the ‘reviews’ are repeated across the models, and a little too glowing, in my view, for such a low priced product.

No sign of an address for the company either, so no idea where they are actually based, or who’s behind it.

Not much staff knowledge here as this brand has never crossed our radar. Some very light Googling shows aggressive pricing and glowing reviews on the brand web site, but extremely vague technical info (the soles are stiff; what are they made of? nobody knows), and external reviews highlight major concerns with fit, quality, service/support for exchanges and some people not even getting shoes they paid for. They clearly have some money for paid social placement though.

Have been able to find several of the models on AliExpress (for cheaper), so I’m pretty sure that they are just dropshipping shoes from China at a markup. I can’t speak to the actual quality of the product (or whether you’ll get it), but much of the imagery on the Pace website is AI and I doubt the reviews are legitimate.

A good starting point if you’re not sure about the legitimacy of a product/brand is to have a look on TrustPilot or the like – although this is not foolproof, as fake reviews can also land there.

All good details. Thanks for looking into it

Just curious, why are they specifically hammering my algorithms.

Probably because they paid a lot of money to Meta.

Our Collective old friend James Huang did a review of them this week, in his words, he “bought a set so you hopefully won’t feel compelled to make the same mistake”. Seemingly you’d be better off with a pair of flip-flops. And yes, nothing to do with that famous MTB brand Pace.

This is brilliant! How long will it take you to realise something really quite strange is going on.

*taken from James Huang’s article, who in tern took it from Pace shoes.

Any company that comes up with something like that and publishes it on their site deserves to be ridiculed and have absolutely no custom whatsoever.
