You may not have seen it but I started a thread before the race hoping to connect with any fellow Escapees. I’m local in Charleston WV and hope you had a nice time in town.

Hi Matt sorry I missed it! Yeah my wife and I had a great time, second year in a row. Stayed in the Sheraton again overlooking the start. We’ve made friends with locals Tim Brady and Todd and Rene Dorcas who hooked us up with VIP passes. Rode in the lead VIP car again for the elite mens race. Love Charleston, cool town with lots to do in the area. Road the entire Elk River Trail. Already planning next year!
Forgot to mention we live in Manassas VA about 5.5 hrs by car but worth the trip!

Cool! Glad you had a nice time in Charleston. Jealous of those VIP tickets. The Elk River Trail is great. Surprisingly shady most of the way. We should link up next year and take a lap of the course.
