During my 15 years of being a somewhat serious cyclist I’ve owned around 10 bikes. They were roughly half threaded BBs vs press fit. Most of the bikes were steel or carbon with one aluminum rig in the mix. The bottom brackets varied from stock shimano or sram cheapies to mid range stuff with enduro bearings. I had a Soma ES that ate BBs (probably a chasing or facing issue).
Other than that, none of my bikes have had any bottom bracket issues even riding in the Seattle wet and doing some gravel. +1 to the notion that bearing alignment is the primary decider of BB longevity.
